Easy Chickpea Salad Recipe

Salads are the easiest to prepare; add a little lettuce, tomato, cucumbers, onions, and you’re good to go, but there’s more to preparing this simple dish than you think.

In this video, you will be taught how to make a simple and easy chickpea salad recipe. Chickpeas are a great source of protein, and therefore should be tried at least once.

Ingredients:

  • Romaine lettuce
  • Cooked chickpeas or canned (preferably BPA free cans and rinse before to remove excess sodium)
  • Spinach
  • Fresh parsley
  • Sunflower seeds
  • Sesame seeds
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Apple cider vinegar
  • Extra virgin olive oil

Instructions:

  • In a large bowl, add at least 2 cups of romaine lettuce.
  • Add 1 cup of cooked chickpeas to your salad. If you are going to buy chickpeas that come in a can, make sure that they are organic and indicate that they are in a BPA free can.
  • Add the spinach and fresh parsley to the mix. This adds great flavor to the salad.
  • Add the sunflower seeds and the sesame seeds. You can experiment. It can be any kind of seeds or nuts for as long as they are raw and organic if possible.
  • Add a little salt and pepper to taste.
  • For the dressing, mix 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and two tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil. Mix everything together to make sure that all the flavors get combined.
